MESSAGE TO MY READERS

I never intended to be a writer. Writing meant forced school assignments and seemed a lonely profession. I wanted to be an actress. Who wouldn’t want to see themselves on a big screen, travel the world and be seen by millions of fans?

I have fourteen siblings and as a child, there was little money for acting, singing or dance lessons. Instead, I read books, dozens at a time, wrote large volumes of poetry and dreamed up stories in my head. One day I’ll write them down, I thought.

But I never did.

Mind Waves

Years passed. I grew up, received a theatre scholarship, took it. After four years of college, I found I loved the drama and creativity of theatre, but I was too withdrawn and introverted  to enjoy being on stage.

I ditched theatre, worked a couple of administrative jobs, returned to school. This time I earned an MBA, which landed me jobs in Marketing and Corporate Communications. Over the next fifteen years, I wrote countless campaigns, several winning awards. I took on larger assignments and gained a reputation as a talented writer.

But despite these successes, something was missing. I fought a great inner urge to write fiction–and not just any fiction, but romance, where the heroes and heroines are larger than life, and a happy ending is guaranteed.

Still, I made excuses.

Cross Waves

I was too tired, too old, too busy, too afraid. What if I tried and failed? Wouldn’t that be embarrassing. What if my family and friends laughed at me for writing romance? How would I deal with that?

And then one day became THE DAY. The day in 2014 the longing became so deep and wide, I couldn’t hold it inside any longer. The day I decided I was too old for excuses. That I would cast aside my fears, dig deep for courage, and go for it.

I’m proud to announce my first novel, Mind Waveswas published worldwide by The Wild Rose Press in October 2016 and my second novel, an award-winning contemporary romance, Charmed By Charlie, released April 18, 2017, from Boroughs Publishing Group. In October 2020, I published the second book in the Mind Hackers series, Cross Waves, followed by a novella, Dark Waves, in May 2022 and my newest release, Healing Kiss, a paranormal romance, in April 2023.

I’ve written an additional award-winning manuscript, the yet unpublished, Sweet Stuff, a contemporary romance. This is with my agent looking for a home. I’m currently working on a contemporary romantic comedy called, Fixing Destiny.
